This blog is formatted to allow for discussion of Eric Jensen's book on poverty. Each participant may enter reflections in the comment section of Chapter 1, then on the following three headings found in chapters 2-6: 1) Theory & Research 2) Action Steps 3) High Poverty Schools Making it Happen, in the comment sections of each chapter.
Just my thoughts: • We cannot do everything – the teacher surveyed his class, finding them to be highly musical and kinesthetic learners • He designed his time around building relationships, letting students take charge of their learning, music, get up every 15 minutes…pg 143 – 152 • He did everything he could to plan ahead, affirm students, meet their needs, and teach meaningful content
